Help with Parking
For those who rarely visit downtown Sacramento, parking can be a problem.
Here are some thoughts, and your comments and suggestions are welcome.
- St. John's Lutheran Church. Their parking garage is
open (and free) for most concerts. The entrance is on K Street,
between 17th & 18th Sts.
- First United Methodist Church. Try the church lot at
the corner of 22nd and J Sts.
- Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Parking in the
Cathedral garage is free for most concerts held at the Cathedral. From
J St., turn right on 11th St., and turn left into the alley adjacent to the
Cathedral. The entrance to the parking garage in on the left.
- Reserved parking. If you haven't tried reserving and
pre-paying your parking, it can be the cheapest, least stressful option.
Go to the City of Sacramento's site for reserved parking:
https://reserve.sacpark.org.
It's organized by events, venues, etc. And if you select "Music Venues
& Theatres" you'll find options for parking for the Community Center
Theater, Memorial Auditorium, Crest Theater, etc. They give you a map
that displays the cost for each parking option (for a given time period).
You pay online and your "ticket" is sent to your smart phone.
